Where does the name come from?
Misiek (pronounced "mee-shek") is Polish for "little bear" and is the childhood nickname of owner Mike Wojtkow, who emigrated with his family from Poland to the United States in the late 1980s.
Who are we?
Misiek Builders is a passion project started by Mike, who left his corporate career at an international consulting firm to spend the following years working with his father as a carpenter and general contractor before striking out on his own. Over time, Mike's brother and father have joined him on the Misiek team, creating a family tour de force of combined carpentry and project management experience spanning decades.
